The Construction of a Green Transportation System of China

摘要: Since the 21st century, the transportation industry in China has achieved rapid growth with a significant increase in the transport capacity; however the development has also greatly impacted the energy saving & environmental conservation. This paper takes into account non-commercial vehicles such as private cars in the statistics of energy consumption and pollution of Chinese transportation system. This method extends on previous methods which solely include commercial vehicles in these statistics. Based on more comprehensive quantitative data, it reviews the progress in the energy saving and environmental conservation efforts by the Chinese transportation industry and points out that the rapid increase of energy consumption and pollution emission and the deterioration of traffic congestion are prominent problems in the development of the Chinese transport industry. The main reasons for theses problems include the unbalanced development of different transport modes, the irrational layout of integrated transport hubs, the inadequate law, regulations and standards, and the use of suboptimal technology. Based on these findings, this paper proposes several goals for the construction of a green transportation system in China including the establishment of a transportation management system, the improvement of transportation energy efficiency, the control of environmental pollution and the alleviating of urban traffic congestion. Additionally, it points out that in order to build a green transportation system in China, multiple aspects should be enhanced, i.e., the formulation of traffic planning, the optimization of transport structure, the development of urban public transport, improvement of integrated hubs, administration of energy saving and environmental conservation, development of intelligent transportation systems, technical innovations, etc..

Low-cost green building practice in China: Library of Shandong Transportation College

摘要: This paper introduces the design idea and technique utilized in the Library of Shandong Transportation College, which ranked 1st in the 2nd National Green Buildings Innovation Award in China in March 2007 due to its low cost and climate-oriented green strategy during its design and construction phase, including land saving, energy efficiency, water conservation, and so on. Originally, the place was a landfill site with an odor pool. After reconstruction, it was changed into the construction site of the library with an area of 7000m and a scenery pond. With the integrated use of passive shading, daylighting, ventilation with atriums, high-insulation materials, underground duct ventilation, and the substitution of cooling tower with the pond water, the HVAC load design indexes are 59 W/m and 21.8 W/m for space cooling and heating, respectively, much lower than the newly issued Chinese energy efficient design code for public buildings. Moreover, a set of measures is utilized for water conversation, material saving, and improvement of indoor environmental quality. After three years of operation, the real effect has been validated by electricity meter and field measurement. The total initial cost for the building with the above mentioned integrated technologies was only RMB 2150 per square meter, which was worth spending in China due to the climatic adaptability and the relative low cost.

Green Innovation for Urban Traffic

摘要: With the development of economy, the issue of urban traffic is becoming highlighted, the pollution of the urban traffic has become one of the main factors to influence environment. It faces the broader problem of achieving sustainable development of urban transportation at present. The current situation of urban traffic is analyzed through studying the existing articles at home and abroad in this paper; the problems such as green innovation of urban traffic are elaborated. In addition, this paper puts forward the relevant measures to promote the development of green innovation of the urban traffic.

Development and challenges of green food in China

摘要:

Green food in China refers to a wide array of primary and processed agricultural products that are safe, nutritious and of high quality for human consumption. Green food has been certified and produced following the principle of sustainability since the 1990s, making historic achievements in providing quality food, protecting the environment, increasing farmer income, and nurturing agricultural brands over the past 30 years in China. Today, the green food industry enters a steady-growth stage in terms of cultivation area, product number and sales. This article summarizes the history of the development of green food in China and current achievements, analyze major challenges that may hamper further development of the industry, and propose strategies to address these challenges, i.e., optimization of the food supply chain, deep food processing, and utilization of food wastes.

非并网风电制氢及其在绿色交通物流中的应用

摘要:

全球二氧化碳减排巨大压力给了氢能一次绝好的发展机遇,也加速了氢能技术的发展。水分解制氢是制氢技术的主要方向,但其依赖用电分解,能耗巨大,唯有与其他洁净能源如太阳能、风能等相匹配,才能降低成本。针对风电间歇波动、不可直接并网特点,探索开发利用我国黄海辐射沙洲丰富的风能资源,提出基于非并网风电技术制氢及其在绿色交通物流中应用模式和途径,对于综合开发风电资源、拓展氢能应用和绿色交通物流发展具有重要意义。

我国海洋运载装备产业发展研究

我国海洋运载装备产业发展迅速,已形成先进的总装建造和系统集成配套能力,实现了由技术引进向自主创新的根本 性转变;但长远发展面临的瓶颈问题未能缓解,“两头在外”的产业发展风险依然存在。着眼我国海洋运载装备产业“安全、 绿色、智能、高效”的转型升级需求,本文梳理了国际海洋运载装备产业的发展经验,分析了我国海洋运载装备产业现状并 总结了设备、部件、技术、服务等方面的发展挑战;论证提出了以绿色、智能转型为主线,实现装备高端化、产业规模与效 益协同高质量发展,建设海洋运载装备现代化产业体系的阶段性重点任务,阐述了绿色智能高端装备核心技术研发、高技术 船舶先进关键技术研发、产业链和供应链的安全韧性、产业高质量发展基础能力等主攻发展方向。进一步从保障科技创新投 入、强化自主品牌发展、促进新兴技术融入海洋装备产业等方面提出了产业发展建议,以期为船舶工业转型升级研究提供 参考。

海洋运载装备技术与产业发展研究

摘要:

海洋运载装备是建设海洋强国的基础支撑,我国在建设海洋强国、制造强国、交通强国的战略需求下,亟需加快推进海洋运载装备技术创新与产业高质量发展。本文针对我国海洋运载装备技术与产业未来发展问题,研判了世界海洋运载装备在市场、海洋科学研究与资源开发、绿色智能技术方面的发展需求,从船舶与海洋工程高等教育、科学研究、总体设计与总装建造、信息与通信导航、动力与配套机电等方面分析了当前世界海洋运载装备的技术现状与产业格局,总结了世界海洋运载装备的先进前沿技术。研究指出,近期海洋运输装备领域的重点发展方向为极地航行船舶技术、船舶智能制造技术、船舶优化节能技术等5 个方面的突破性关键技术,建议设立智能船舶工程、超级生态环保船舶科技专项、船舶全生命周期运维保障科技专项。本文从顶层设计、政策引导、资金投入、协同创新、人才建设和国际合作等方面提出了促进我国海洋运载装备发展的对策建议,以期为船舶工业主管部门和“产学研用”相关机构前瞻布局技术研究方向提供参考。

基于高速交通网络的秦巴山脉地区空间格局研究

摘要:

改善通达性是秦巴山脉地区扶贫开发和实现可持续发展的重要手段。本文根据《国家公路网规划(2013年—2030年)》与《中长期铁路网规划》中确定的高速交通网络,研究秦巴山脉地区及周边城市群地区中心城市的可达性,进而模拟秦巴山脉地区的空间格局。研究发现,随着国家规划高速交通网络的建设,秦巴山脉地区将形成以西安为中心的西安—万州、西安—襄阳、西安—洛阳三条放射型主要城市走廊,以及西安—天水、西安—广元、达州—襄阳—南阳—洛阳三条次要城市走廊。受其城市走廊的影响,秦巴山脉地区将形成以陇南、巴中、十堰、栾川为核心的四个巨型绿野。本文建议,未来的秦巴山脉地区空间规划,在努力发挥秦巴山脉地区对周边城市群地区生态平衡作用的同时,要自觉建立秦巴山脉地区内部的空间秩序,合理安排城市走廊与巨型绿野,实现保护与发展的平衡。

through human power: Technical opportunities from direct or indirect utilizations of the pervasive and green

摘要: With the energy and environmental problems becoming increasingly serious, human power, as a pervasive, renewable, mobile and environment friendly energy, draws more and more attention over the world. In this paper, the most basic features of human power are presented. The currently available human power harvesting theories and devices are briefly reviewed and compared. Further, direct or indirect utilization of human power in daily life, especially transportation and home appliances, such as human-powered car, watercraft, aircraft, washing machine and television etc. are summarized. Considering that the total energy from an individual is rather limited, as previously focused by most of the former works, it is conceived in this paper that an important future for large scale use of human powers lies in the efficient conversion, collection and storage of such energy from discrete people and then use it later on as desired. With the huge amount of energy gathered, the application category of human power would be significantly expended. Starting from this point, three technical ways towards efficiently utilizing human power are sketched, which are termed as human-powered grid (HPG), human-powered charger (HPC) and human-powered storage (HPS), among which, HPG is capable of collecting the electric power produced by each individual at different regions and thus can supply unique and flexible power to the customers covered in the area, without relying on the conventional electricity grid. The HPC can then charge various kinds of electrical devices instantly by a human driven generator which converts human power into electricity. Finally, the HPS can store electricity in time for later use. In this way, even for the devices requiring electricity that is strong enough, the collected human power can also serve as its reliable energy source. Meanwhile, utilization of human power becomes rather convenient and timely which guarantees its practical value. It is expected that with further research and increasing applications, human power could partially relieve the current global electricity shortage and environmental issues via its pervasive contribution.

Sustainable urban transportation development in China: A behavioral perspective

摘要: The rapid development of economics requires highly efficient and environment-friendly urban transportation systems. Such requirement presents challenges in sustainable urban transportation. The analysis and understanding of transportation-related behaviors provide one approach to dealing with complicated transportation activities. In this study, the management of traffic systems is divided into four levels with a structural and systematic perspective. Then, several special cases from the perspective of behavior, including purchasing behaviors toward new energy vehicles, choice behaviors toward green travel, and behavioral reactions toward transportation demand management policies, are investigated. Several management suggestions are proposed for transportation authorities to improve sustainable traffic management.

摘要: The incorporation of disruptive innovations into the transportation industry will inevitably cause major upheavals in the transportation sector. However, existing research lacks systematic theories and methodologies to represent the underlying characteristics of future urban transport systems. Furthermore, emerging modes in urban mobility have not been sufficiently studied. The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) officially approved the Basic Science Center project titled “Future Urban Transport Management” in 2022. The project members include leading scientists and engineers from Beijing Jiaotong University, Beihang University, and Beijing Transport Institute. Based on a wide range of previous projects by the consortium on urban mobility and sustainable cities, this project will encompass transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research to explore critical issues affecting future urban traffic management. It aims to develop fundamental theories and methods based on social and technological developments in the near future and explores innovative solutions to implement alongside these emerging developments in urban mobility.

我国绿氢供应体系建设思考与建议

在碳中和战略目标引领下,能源生产消费方式转向绿色低碳,将推动氢能供应体系逐步以绿氢为基础进行重塑;绿氢将成为新能源供给消纳体系的重要组成部分,因而加强绿氢供应体系建设有助于能源生产消费方式变革。本文在阐述绿氢供应体系建设必要性的基础上,剖析了绿氢供应体系建设面临的挑战,如绿氢资源与需求空间分布不匹配、绿氢生产与消费时间特性不匹配、现有体制机制及标准与绿氢供应体系不匹配;凝练了强化氢储运关键基础问题研究、加快氢储运技术装备攻关、提升氢储运装备安全检测技术水平等重点研究方向,力求以氢储运环节的高质量发展支撑绿氢供应体系建设。研究提出,采用氢电融合发展的系统性思维,统筹构建我国绿氢供应体系;氢储运是连接上游电解水制氢、下游氢消纳应用的关键环节,在调节绿氢供需时空错配、实现绿氢灵活供应方面发挥重要作用。为此建议,注重顶层设计、统筹规划布局,建设基础设施、化解时空错配矛盾,开展试点示范、驱动技术创新,完善体制机制、营造发展环境,以此促进绿氢供应体系高质量建设。

Direct energy rebound effect for road transportation in China

摘要: The enhancement of energy efficiency stands as the principal avenue for attaining energy conservation and emissions reduction objectives within the realm of road transportation. Nevertheless, it is imperative to acknowledge that these objectives may, in part or in entirety, be offset by the phenomenon known as the energy rebound effect (ERE). To quantify the long-term EREs and short-term EREs specific to China’s road transportation, this study employed panel cointegration and panel error correction models, accounting for asymmetric price effects. The findings reveal the following: The long-term EREs observed in road passenger transportation and road freight transportation range from 13% to 25% and 14% to 48%, respectively; in contrast, the short-term EREs in road passenger transportation and road freight transportation span from 36% to 41% and 3.9% to 32%, respectively. It is noteworthy that the EREs associated with road passenger transportation and road freight transportation represent a partial rebound effect, falling short of reaching the magnitude of a counterproductive backfire effect. This leads to the inference that the upsurge in energy consumption within the road transportation sector cannot be solely attributed to advancements in energy efficiency. Instead, various factors, including income levels, the scale of commodity trade, and industrial structure, exert more substantial facilitating influences. Furthermore, the escalation of fuel prices fails to dampen the demand for energy services, whether in the domain of road passenger transportation or road freight transportation. In light of these conclusions, recommendations are proffered for the formulation of energy efficiency policies pertinent to road transportation.

Fire hazard in transportation infrastructure: Review, assessment, and mitigation strategies

摘要: This paper reviews the fire problem in critical transportation infrastructures such as bridges and tunnels. The magnitude of the fire problem is illustrated, and the recent increase in fire problems in bridges and tunnels is highlighted. Recent research undertaken to address fire problems in transportation structures is reviewed, as well as critical factors governing the performance of those structures. Furthermore, key strategies recommended for mitigating fire hazards in bridges and tunnels are presented, and their applicability to practical situations is demonstrated through a practical case study. Furthermore, research needs and emerging trends for enhancing the “state-of-the-art” in this area are discussed.
